Eddie Ho we, age 14, of Meridian, Miss., for his question:
WHERE DOES THE KOMODO DRAGON LIVE?
Largest living lizard in the world is the Komodo dragon. The creature is also called the dragon lizard and the giant lizard.
You'll find the Kamodo dragon living on the island of Komodo and on other small islands of Indonesia.
The Komodo dragon grows to be 10 feet long. It belongs to the most ancient group of lizards still alive.
The animal has a long tail and rough skin. It is covered with small dull colored scales. When the lizard opens its wide red mouth, it shows rows of teeth like the edge of a saw.
The Komodo dragon hunts other animals during the day. And at night, the lizard digs a cave with its strong claws and hides while it is dark.
