Stevie Wonder is a popular American singer, composer and musician.
He was born in Saginaw, Mich., and has been blind all of his life.
Stevie recorded his first major success when he was 12 years old. It was a record called "Fingertips."
Through the years, Stevie's musical style has become more complex.
He now creates powerful rock compositions. He plays a synthesizer and other electronic instruments.
Stevie's real name is Stevland Morris. He was born in 1950. He has written and recorded many songs about happy events. He also writes and sings serious numbers on such subjects as religious beliefs and social issues concerning blacks.
Stevie Wonder has won scores of awards for his musical originality and style.
