Brian Kelly$ age 10, of Des Moines, Iowa, for his question:
Where is Afghanistan?
The little country of Afghanistan is tucked among the lofty mountains of South Asia. It is hemmed in on all sides by neighbors ‑ Kashmir, Pakistan, Iran and the Russia ‑ and nowhere do its borders touch the sea,
The exact area of its bumpy surface has not been measured, but it is roughly a little larger than the state of Texas. Its capital is the fabulous city of Kabul and steep mountains along its northeastern border are split by the famous Khyber Pass. Afghanistan is home to some 12 million people and 14 million sheep graze among its valleys and scrubby slopes.
