Does Greenland have a native bird like the penguin?
The penguins are birds of the southern hemisphere, though some live as far north as the Galapagos Islands near the equator. In the far north we have the auks and the puffins which in some ways resemble the penguins. Some of them visit Greenland and nest there. Both auks and puffins have been called penguins, though they are not related to the handsome, well dressed birds of the southern seas.
Auks and puffins are comical looking birds with big bills and bulky the feet, Unlike the penguins, they can take to/air, But like the penguins, they enjoy life in and around the polar seas and, also like the penguins, they are highly skilled fishermen.
