Was there an Antarctic Ice Age?
The mighty glaciers of the Ice Ages left their claw marks and footprints on the face of the land. They gouged valleys in the soil, scratched the surface of hard rocks, carried great boulders from their homes and toted tons of dirt and debris from place to place. They wrote their history on the earth and the geologist can read their language, If you look at your globe you will see that most of the worldts land masses are in the northern hemisphere. Apart from the ice covered continent of Antarctica, the south polar regions are mostly water.
Ice does not last long in sea water, especially after an Ice Age. If there were Ice Age glaciers down here they would leave no trace. However, there are a few traces of ancient glaciers south of the equator. There were Ice Age glaciers over Australia some 60 million years ago and Brazil may once have known an Ice Age.
