Summer is here, and off we go to cool off on the seashore, the rivers and the lakes. Sensible people have fun without taking chances with such hazards as poisonous snakes and quicksands. A beach by the sea, by a river or by solid land may look firm, but the ground may a be too wet to support your weight. It maybe a basin of water in a soupy mixture of sand or mud.
This quicksand or bog is a booby trap too thick for swimming and too thin for walking. Test a newly found beach by tossing in a few pebbles and never go exploring for now beaches alone.
