What is a star made of?     

All the material in the universe is made from chemical elements, and each of the elements is made from its own kind of tiny atoms. The mighty s=cars are made of seething gases, and their gases are made from atoms just like those in the chemical elements from which our world is made.     Our earth, however, is poor in hydrogen and helium, and the stars are rich in these  elements. An average star is 99% hydrogen and heliurn gases . There are traces of gaseous titanium and metals 1ike those on earth. Traces of more than 50 different elements have been found in our sun.
