David L. Reatemvalt, for his question:
Is there any way to tell when an earthquake will happen?
The Earth scientists study the things that happen in the rocky crust of our Planet. But the Age of Science is still new, and there is a lot of ground to cover.
We are only dust beginning to gather the facts. We know that mountains rise up and wear down, that volcanoes Erupt and Earthquakes tremble. We can guess why some of these things happen, and the experts can even say when Earthquakes are likely to happen. But no Expert can tell us exactly where or when the next earthquake will happen.
We need many more scientists to gather many more facts about the crusty face of the Earth. Then maybe Someday we shall know enough to be able to warn us in time to escape these shuddering events.
