Brent Meredith, Age 9, Of Salt Lake City, Utah, for his question;
How high can the clouds go?
A cloud can sit on the ground and become a fog. It can float a half mile or a tulle above land and sea. Some ordinary clouds float four, five or six miles above 011' heads.. Arid sometimes we see a monster cloud that may be more than seven miles high. There are a few wispy clouds of vapor maybe 10 miles up, but they are rare and we do not often see them.
The white, feathery curls called cirrus clouds are often six miles high. The top of a giant thunderhead may be seven miles high or more. Other everyday clouds float anywhere up to four or five miles above our heads.
