Is any country as big as Europe?

Europe is classed as a continent of many countries, but some geographers regard it as a natural part of the land mass of Asia. The area of Europe is estimated to be somewhat 1ess than four million square miles. So at least one country is bigger than Europe.

This country is Russia, called the union of soviet socialist republics. Most of Russia is in Asia, but almost two million square miles is part of Europe. Almost one quarter of Europe is Russia, and all of Russia is more than twice the size of the continent of Europe.
