Eddy Dcmyan, age 10, Of E. St. Louis, for his question:
Where does the aardvark live?
This African anteater is a fascinating fellow. Actually there are two closely related aardvarks, and the cousins do not trespass upon each other's territories. The cape aardvark makes his home in the south and along the southeast coast of Africa. The ethiopian aardvark lives far away in the north eastern corner of Africa.
Though they never meet, the cousins are so much alike that it is hard to tell which is which. The cape aardvark has a few bristly hairs in his skin, and his Ethiopian cousin has eyen fewer. The head and ear's of the cape aardvark are a little shorter, and its tail is a little longer.
