How can there be dew without rain?

The cool, fresh dew does not fall. Like raindrops and it does not rise up from the ground. It is moisture squeezed out of the air. There is always moisture in the air, but we cannot see it because it is In the form of gassy vapor. Sometimes, the air must change some of this gassy moisture into liquid water.

At night when the ground cools off, it cools the air above it. This forces the air to turn some of its vapor into liquid vapor. The misty liquid gels on everything it touches. The spongy soil becomes damp with gentle water and pearly dewdrops are hung on every blade of grass
