What was the origin of John and Sebastian Cabot?

John Cabot was born in the Italian town of Genoa, the home town of Christopher Columbus and the famous astronomer, galileo. Five years after the famous voyage of Columbus, John Cabot also captained a ship across the Atlantic. HE sailed from the English port of Bristol under the flag of the English king, Henry VII.

Captain Cabot took his son with him on several famous voyages. His son, Sebastian, also was Italian. HE was born around 1476 in the City of venice. After his father's death in 1499, Sebastian joined the Spanish Explorers. Later he returned to England and he1ped to start the fur trade of the Northwest.
