What is anticyelone?

A cyclone is a weather event centered around a pocket of thin, light air called a low pressure cell, An anticyclone is a weather event centered around a pocket of dense, heavy air called a high pressure cell. The cyclone is often called a low and the anticyclone is called a high. A weather low tends to bring strong winds and stormy weather, A high may bring a spell of calm weather, either warm or cold.

In the cyclone, winds spiral in to fill up the cell of low pressure, In the anticyclone, the winds spiral outwards as the heavy air flows to areas of lower pressure. North of the equator) .cyclone winds blow counterclockwise and anticyclone winds blow clockwise. A weather high is usually much larger than a low. It may last several weeks and become large enough to cover half of North America
