How old is the world?

In this respect, out world is like a lovely lady   she tries to keep her age a secret, Scientists have been trying to pry out this secret for a long time. Some two hundred years agog most experts thought our world was about 6, 000 years old e Then they discovered that the Ice Ages dated back a million years. Fossils in the earthy s crust showed that there were living creatures hundreds of millions of years ago.

Then radioactivity was discovered and certain rocks showed that this process had been going on for thousands of millions years. A few of these radioactive rocks are more than 2,000 million years old   and these were found by chance. The earth, of course, is much older than these rocks. Latest estimates suggest that our beautiful old world has had between three billion and four billion birthdays.
