What makes the colors of fireworks?

Fireworks are made from chemicals that burst open with a bang, This is why we should always let a grown up set off the razzle dazzle, Other chemicals are added to the mixture to color the flying sparks  They are chemical salts with fancy chemical names

Sodium salts add marigold yellow, calcium salts add rose red, strontium salts add carnation red, barium salts add shamrock green, copper salts add green or cornflower blue, Magnesium and aluminum salts add moonbeam white, Calomel and chlorine salts are added to make the brightly colored sparks even brighter
