What is a carnivorous plant?

A carnivorous animal is a meat‑eater, such as the lion and the terrible tiger  A carnivorous plant also seta meat, or rather digests the nitrogen and perhaps other food stuffs to be found in animal tissue, however, the largest ofthe carnivorous plants is only inches tall and the meat it traps and digests is from the insect world, For this reason, they may be called insectivorous plants  The sundew the pitcher plant and the Venus  flytrap are insectivorous plants found in swampy, nitrogen‑poor regions of North America
